The GCE Group is Europe’s leading gas-equipment company and organised according to four business areas: Cutting and Welding, Medical, High-Purity and Process Applications.
The company’s foreign branches are located in China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United States, with additional local sales offices in Austria, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Portugal.
The GCE Group’s headquarters are located in Malmö, Sweden, and its main production units are in the Czech Republic, Poland and China. The hub of the group is the Czech factory in Chotěboř, some two hours’ drive east of Prague. Central functions such as R&D, quality control, purchasing, IT and logistics are based here. Today’s product portfolio corresponds to a large variety of applications, from simple pressure regulators and blowpipes for cutting and welding to sophisticated gas-supply systems for medical and electronics-industry applications. The company has two central warehouses: the European Distribution Centre in Kladno, north of Prague, and NDC, the Nordic Distribution Centre, which is located in Malmö and services more than 8,000 customers across the world.
GCE’s portfolio includes a large number brands such as Autogen, Butbro, Charledave, DruVa, Mediline, Mujelli, Propaline and Rhöna, which are leaders within their own respective regional markets and applications.
In addition to certification according to the ISO 9001 quality standard, products are tested and certified by BAM, BSI, Norske Veritas, US DOT, UL, CEN, DIN and SIS, among others. All units connected with medical products have EN approvals for CE marking and many GCE units have been approved according to the ISO 14000 environmental standard.
The GCE Group has grown rapidly since its establishment and is leading the restructuring of the European gas-equipment industry through mergers and acquisitions. The group currently employs more than 1,200 people.
